It is tempting to collect things from Europe or US and send it over. We have stuff in abundance! And they have so little.

But...shipping things to Madagascar is expensive, and clearing it is cumbersome. Transport from port to the center is also an issue.

Moreover, purchasing goods locally actually helps local business here too. We have contacts with suppliers of second-hand computers, carpenters who can make school tables, and the markets here have plenty toys, stuffed animals, books, in short: all we need is here we just need some funds to access it.
